The Awakening-Finding Abundance
Today I want to talk about how to build an abundance of all the things you desire in life. I’m talking about an abundance of wealth, knowledge and patience. I have spoken so many times before about working endlessly on your craft and talent. It’s the things you find the most passion for. When you have a true passion for the things you pursue, it will become easy to be engulfed in the endless hours it takes to be successful in your craft. That’s why it’s important to find something you have a true burning passion for, otherwise you will find yourself unmotivated.
When you spend countless hours working on your craft what are you doing? You’re creating, but what, what are you creating really?
In searching for an abundance of wealth, success, health, etc…you will also have an abundance of mistakes. The abundance of mistakes then translates into an abundance of knowledge and experience. In making those mistakes you gain knowledge in different aspects of your craft. Things such as writing, editing, or marketing. This will just make you a more well-rounded individual in your craft. See many will quickly hire others to complete these tasks because it because tedious, but I have always preached, if you can’t do the small things right you will never be entrusted with the bigger things. So, start at the bottom, that’s right where you should be. But this is where many become discouraged because they begin listening to others mocking their effort and making fun of the short comings. Just keep going, you’ll see “The Awakening” soon.
What else do you create an abundance of? You create an abundance of creativity. As you learn to tweak your craft and find other avenues that you enjoy while finding different platforms you become more creative and innovative in how and where to post. You learn what content is needed for each platform, so you have to do just a little bit more, but the abundance of creativity then brings an open mind with an abundance of knowledge, creativity and then opportunity.
There is an audience for all material, just experiment with ideas and keep putting your stuff out for the world to see.
In the meantime, find platforms that will pay you for your content. Why? Now, you will begin creating passive income that will continue to pay you royalties for the rest of your life, just for being you. I don’t know about you but I am best at being myself, that’s here I am most comfortable. You decide what you put out there for the world to see, you find the appropriate platforms that will bring monetary value and you have begun creating multiple streams of income, passive income, on your terms. Income that will then allow you to invest in other opportunities.
You can get paid for podcasting, writing, contests, photography, videography, music, you name it. Everything you begin doing can then begin paying you.
Yes, it takes a while to get there, but two things: This is where you’ll learn the abundance of patience.
1)If you never begin you will continue to be setting at ground zero. Some people are safe there, that’s cool, they aren’t ready to go to the same altitude as you. Leave them there or you will always be at ground zero.
2)If you begin creating an abundance of material and you begin dropping them into different platforms, and you enter contests, or paid views on content, then you will find yourself constantly creating and you will forget. Then, one day, those contest deadlines will approach, and you will begin to see the fruits of your labor. You will begin to see an abundance of wealth. Get practice, that way when the big opportunity comes knocking, you are prepared and ready to rock.
Wealth comes in many forms and that is up for one’s interpretation and perception, but the fact remains money is only a value put on your effort. If you want an abundance of anything, you must put out the effort as abundance will not come without subsequent actions to obtain it. Don’t expect to be rewarded for lack of effort.
Other forms of wealth come in freedom. But when given this freedom will you abandon all hard work or will you still work towards your goals and continue to make this a better place then you found it? When you gain this freedom will you become lazy and forget all the things said you would do and accomplish, or all the people you said you would help?
Wealth comes in paying it forward. I have no reason to not wish or show others success. If we all lived up to our potential, this world would be a better place. I’m not intimidated by others taking my spot because everyone has their own spot to fill. I want to show people how to fill their own. The weak minded are the ones that worry about their replacement. Even if I did get replaced, you still haven’t seen everything I have left to give.
One of my favorite UFC fighters is Forrest Griffin. If you have ever watched this man fight you would know when he entered the ring, he was ready for a battle. The more jabs and upper cuts that were thrown to him, the harder he fought. He didn’t spend countless hours at his craft to give up because he was tired, who would when it’s your passion?
We have all heard the quote from Rocky and if you haven’t, I’m sorry for you but it goes like this:
“You, me, nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much can you take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done.”
When we continue to bellyache over stupid drama and stupid bullshit, we are wasting energy, in abundance. Then we wonder why we don’t have the energy for the things we want. We waste energy in abundance instead of proving we can take care of the things we value the most, ourselves. When you quickly learn that lesson and move on you will have gained new forms of abundance.
Remember, you will have an abundance of patience at this point. Patience, that things will work out when they are supposed to, trust the process.
Don’t get sucked into caring what others opinions are of you or what you are doing. Rather, ask yourself why you care about their opinion so much. Are they aspiring for something bigger, do they stand for anything, are they achieving anything? Then why does it matter what they think? Don’t let other people’s opinions become your baggage in this process. Don’t let others have that power over you.
Remember when I said earlier that no one will ever know my true potential? I have been knocked down and out plenty of times in life, and though I may have stumbled in getting up, I’M STILL STANDING! The strong learn to adapt and embrace change as they know that brings growth, and in abundance.
Our days here are limited, we know that. One day I was just tired of being confined by my own shackles and I needed change. I can relate to the gigantic 5-piece statue outside of Maryland’s National Harbor called “The awakening”. I feel, that’s what this whole process has brought me, and awakening.
For those that don’t know the story behind the statue, it is a huge aluminum 5-piece structure that gives the impression of a distressed giant attempting to break free from the ground. Why did this photo affect me so much that I decided it deserved to have a written piece to accompany it, simply because for so long, I could relate to that Giant?
You see his pain and struggle in his eyes but as you stare at this magnificent piece of art, you feel his determination. His determination to just break free. I feel that is all of us inside, well it’s at least me. I felt so bound for so long, that I didn’t understand the only thing in life that was holding me back from the things I desired was myself. Until I came to that realization, I was the Giant, I could see the light, but I just couldn’t quite make it there before the dark night struck again.
The Giant is trying to break free from the ground, isn’t that all of us? Can’t we all relate; well, at least the ones that want to reach the stars anyway.
If I were that statue I would probably be thinking, I’m almost there just don’t give up.
As I stare at this humongous statue just as dusk approaches it leaves me wondering. This statue sums up life so perfectly. No matter how big, bad or powerful we are, no matter our strengths, if we believe we are unable to break free of the things that confine us we will never break free; but once we awaken to our inner calling and learn to live for our purpose life takes on a whole new form.
I stare at this statue and I am reminded of the song Alice and Wonderland by Joanna Wang. The song speaks of Wonderland, a land that no one can see but many dream of. Sound familiar? When I dream of Wonderland, my imagination goes wild with all the places in the world I have yet to be able to explore.
My world would never be complete if I could never hear another note sung. Music has saved me so many times. Music to me are the words that reside deep in my soul. These words at times I have a hard time expressing because I have not yet found the emotion, but through words and the beat, the vibration tends to nurture my soul. Music, words simply put to a beat, heals. Music is an integral part of healing for many of us. How many times have you turned on the radio and found that one soulful tune that speaks to you in that moment? Every word resonating with you and caressing your heart. Each lyric in that moment you believe was written solely for you because it captures that emotion that you need soothed. And it isn’t until you get everything you need from that song will you go onto the next. It’s a proven fact that the vibrations from music actually penetrate you and vibrate amongst your energy, that’s all we are is energy.
I believe the song, Alice in Wonderland accompanies the Giant well. The Giant is seeking the same things in which we all want. We want to find love, happiness, and wealth in abundance but where is the “Wonderland”? How do we really get there, and when we do, is it what we envisioned?
